Nancy Wilk

I enjoy telling folks that can't quite place my distinctly southern accent that I am from Tennessee, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina - because I’ve lived in all those places. I was also in Pennsylvania for awhile, but I’m glad to be back in the South because I don't need a translator and can get good sweet tea.

All that aside, my greatest joy is being able to work with my husband in terms of what we value most - declaring the faithfulness of God to the next generation. We have three grown children and ten grandchildren. I appreciate you considering Venue 1848 for your event and look forward to hearing from you! Love ~N

I currently live in the Central Virginia area on a little homestead with my husband and two little girls. I have worked in the Philadelphia area as a lifestyle photographer and event planner before moving to Virginia.

I am Nancy’s middle child and happy that both my girls got their beautiful blue eyes from this Nana. I help run the social media, generate ideas, plan mood boards, and cheer all the celebrations happening at Venue 1848!

When I’m not working on social media stuff, you will find me gardening, homeschooling my girls (wild and free style), and sharing my thoughts on simple + healthy living.

Opportunites

A lot of people contribute to making events at Venue 1848 successful. Most of their work happens behind the scenes and long before the event day. Some of the contributors may be called: event planner, designer, day of coordinator, venue representative, social media/marketing manager, administrative assistant, and housekeeping. We have recommended vendors which include photographer, caterer, baker, DJ, florist, and more.
