Venue 1848 is unique in the wedding industry. We do business on purpose and express that purpose in two big ways. One of the ways we seek to fulfill our purpose it to encourage couples to spend their engagement season preparing for a lifetime of marriage - not just planning a big wedding day party! We hope to see the couples we work with start their marriage from a strong and healthy relational position, then build their family in terms of God’s design and purpose. That conversation starts with couples as an invitation to a pre-marriage assessment tool called SYMBIS. SYMBIS stands for Save Your Marriage Before It Starts and was developed by Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott. The assessment is taken online and follow-up can be facilitated in person or through video chat. Don Wilk is a registered marriage officiant in the commonwealth of Virginia and a certified SYMBIS facilitator in Appomattox, VA. He serves as the "official officiant” for Venue 1848 clients who don’t already have a minister for their wedding ceremony. You can inquire for this stand alone service even if Venue 1848 is not the location of your wedding day celebration. We would love to help you and your fiance plan for lifelong marriage.
