Thanks & Prayers 2025
It’s a Christmas Eve tradition at our house! We enjoy a feast of sweet treats and savory charcuterie then gather around a little German Christmas Pyramid. While the candles burn and the windmill spins, we talk about the important things. Namely, “What have we seen the LORD do this year?” and “What are we praying for in the new one?”
So, 2024 has been challenging for us in both good & hard ways.
We added a sweet little four legged member to the Wilk household. Vinny the Venue Dog is an 18 month old Maltese we rescued from the Appomattox Animal Shelter back in the spring. He is a pleasant little guy that loves the grandkids, likes to help with client tours at Venue 1848 and has otherwise taken to Nancy like a white shadow.
On a more somber note, we tragically lost Nancy’s nephew in a high school football game accident and sadly saw Don’s oldest sister lose her battle with cancer. Consequently we traveled to Florida, Illinois, and Alabama. Other family needs took us to North Carolina and Utah, while ministry business required a trip to Texas.
You may know that we call our big idea Church & Main. We work from a biblical worldview to restore to the family the responsibilities that God says are ours. Up to this point, that work has largely been done on a 1:1 mentoring basis using our 321 Outline.
This year, most notably, we saw the Lord move our 321 Outline project forward in very clear and encouraging ways. Our simple outline has been recognized as a decision making tool that puts the biblical framework for living on one hand so people can learn to make good life choices. We are thrilled to be articulating and formatting that in ways others can use.
In that context, we were approached by a pregnancy help center in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to create video teaching for their client educational program. Their request facilitated the trip to Texas, a partnership with a nonprofit organization and the next phase of development for our 321 Outline. As the year closes, we are happy to report that filming is complete for The 321 Foundation For Life video series and that the final editing will be finished within the next few weeks. With the growth of our 321 Outline we have a foundational product-based resource we will scale to better serve the needs of others.
So, what’s ahead for 2025? Honestly, none of us really know the answer to that. We will inevitably find ourselves needing to work against the inertia of uncertainty and push through our own sense of limitations to trust His guidance and providential care. Our prayer is to be found faithful and to not grow weary while doing good (Gal. 6:9) as we put our attention to the work the Lord has clearly called us to do.
In 2025, we will continue working with pregnancy help centers to further develop “321” tools as a means to teach the staff and reach their clients. Additionally, videos with Spanish voiceover, workbooks, and podcasts are on the drawing board.
While our focus has been on creating materials for the pregnancy help centers, Nancy has been invited to present “321” to a woman’s conference this Spring. This opportunity means product development for a more general family-focused audience is coming soon!
Speaking of family, we are also eagerly awaiting the birth of our 11th grandchild, who will be joining “The B Team,” aka the Bedenbaugh family, in February. Nancy is excited for another “birthday Buddy!”
We appreciate all our Venue 1848 clients and overnight guests in The Loft. Additionally, we are extremely grateful for those who support our 321 For Life work financially and/or in prayer.

Let us be found faithful. In His service and with kind regards,
Don and Nancy WILK.
